Cabo San Lucas’ Marina is perhaps the centre of activity in the city. This area has direct access to the waterfront, the Malecon, and is home to a huge variety of businesses, hotels, restaurants and shops which offer everything you might need to make your stay memorable in Cabo. You can sit at one of the many waterside pubs, if you fancy a relaxed day, and watch the private yacht and fishing boats slip in and out of the marina.

See & Do

Cabo san Lucas has come a long way in the last forty years, and the Marina is a perfect example of this. It used to be that all you would find down there was an old cannery and a few charter fishing boats. Now, however, the Cabo San Lucas’ marina is a cultural centre for the city and is the place to go if you want to book tours, activities and lessons. Cabo Dolphins, for example, offers you a chance to swim with dolphins in and around the area. You can even get a picture taken with them! On the other hand, however, Cabo Experiences offers some high octane, energizing activities like parasailing.

Eat

If you like seafood, you really must eat down at the Marina. The Sea of Cortez is famous for the sheer density and diversity of marine life in its waters, hence its moniker “the aquarium of the world”, and the local fishermen take full advantage of this. Lorenzillo’s, the Baja Lobster Company, and Solomon’s Landing are undoubtedly the best places to go if you want seafood, and lobster in particular! You could also consider Captain Tony’s; some of these places even offer a “you hook, we cook” service!

Party

The nightlife down at the Cabo San Lucas’ marina ranges from fine dining to bars and lounges. You can find all these kinds of places down the marina boardwalk. If you want a combined experience you can go down to Barometro which offers a hipper atmosphere as well as some of the best gourmet pizzas in the city. More party centric people will love the Nowhere Bar which showcases a late night DJ and a weekly ladies night. If fine dining is your thing then it’s all about Señor Sweets!

Shop

The Puerto Paraiso Mall is undoubtedly the focal point of Cabo San Lucas Marina’s “Golden Zone”, partly because of its distinctive tower which many people use as a point with which to discern their orientation. This stretch of the Malecon is home to high end shops, boutiques and restaurants so be sure to bring your spending money; you’re going to love a lot of what you see here, especially if you love jewellery (the Cartier shop here is utterly divine).
