Lunchtime at Los Muertos is especially nice as they offer reasonably priced daily lunch specials that include a slice of your favorite pizza, a fresh salad or homemade French fries, and a pint of their craft beer. For only about 4 dollars, this is a delicious deal that you can’t find anywhere else in Puerto Vallarta.
La Dolce Vita – On Malecon
If you want a charming atmosphere where you can enjoy great pizza, check out La Dolce Vita on the Malecon. A well established Italian restaurant with a perfect location on the pedestrian-friendly Malecon boardwalk, it is the perfect place to eat pizza. You can opt for an evening stroll to take in the sights and ocean views after dinner, too. Outside seating is open-air with tables conveniently located right on the Malecon, and inside diners will enjoy a cozy and romantic atmosphere. The menu offers authentic Italian cuisine and delicious pizza. You won’t be able to find a better place to eat pizza, drink wine, and people watch at the same time.

Veggitalia – Downtown
Located downtown just a block inland from the Malecon boardwalk, Veggitalia is a vegetarian and vegan restaurant that serves tasty and healthy food. Head Chef Marco is from Lake Como, Italy and opened the restaurant to share his passion for healthy and delicious food with others. Not only are the menu items delicious, but they also aren’t expensive either. You can even create your very own pizza by choosing your favorite fresh veggie toppings. Make sure you try their homemade pesto sauce that Chef Marco prepares fresh daily and it tastes amazing on any of the pizzas. One top seller that you should try when you are dining at Veggitalia is the arugula and mushroom pizza. Simply incredible!
Formaggio’s Pizza and Pasta – Ixtapa
If you don’t mind getting off the beaten path a bit, head to Formaggio’s Pizza and Pasta that is where the locals eat. Formaggio’s Pizza is situated near the town of Ixtapa, off the road that leads to the quaint mountain town of San Sebastian. Their pizza is thin crust and all of the pizzas are cooked in a woodfired oven. Outdoor dining is available and during the day the shady trees will keep you cool. At night, they add romantic candles and light a fire pit to create a cozy ambiance that diners love. For just $145 pesos, they offer a pizza of the month special that won’t break the bank.
La Piazzetta – Olas Altas
If you find yourself in the popular beachfront neighborhood of Olas Altas, you can’t miss La Piazzetta. Just inland from the Los Muertos Pier, La Piazzetta has been a favorite pizza place for decades in Puerto Vallarta. Get ready to enjoy delicious pizza and make sure to order a nice glass of wine, too. There is plenty of open-air dining with a nice and comfortable décor so you can make the most of the wonderful PV weather. La Piazzetta offers many different pizza choices, and their Funghi pizza and Hawaiian pizza are top-sellers.
