The stunning turquoise clear waters of the Banderas Bay come together to meet the luscious Sierra Madre jungle to provide a welcoming environment for life. The weather is tropical, and that keeps the flora and fauna healthy. With the large number of species that live there, it is a very important location in North America. The Western Sierra Madre mountains have very thick vegetation jungle that continues to grow down all the way to the Pacific Ocean shoreline. As a result, the environment provides mammals, insects, and reptiles a safe place to live. There are more than four hundred species of birds along with three hundred species of orchids in the area as well.
