Cabo San Lucas is the location where the annual Bisbee’s Black & Blue Fishing Tournaments are held, and they have been regularly held for over three decades. Bob Bisbee was the person who started the Black & Blue Marlin Tournament back in 1981. The first tournament had only six teams and the six teams were competing for a cash prize of $10,000. Currently, the Black & Blue Marlin Tournament has more than one hundred and fifty teams and there are millions of dollars at stake.
Bisbee’s Los Cabos Offshore
“Little Bisbee’s” is the name for the Bisbee’s Los Cabos Offshore which has a very laid back, casual atmosphere. The Little Bisbee’s tournament is a smaller event that is more casual than the Black & Blue tournaments. Visitors will have plenty of fun activities to enjoy along with socializing with other visitors. The Little Bisbee’s fishing event is held on October 18-21, 2018.
Top prizes will be awarded to the person that brings in the three largest fish. At Los Cabos Little Bisbee’s, along with money prizes that are awarded to the winner, there is also money that will be donated to local charities. All teams that want to participate in the Little Bisbee’s Tournament will have to pay a $1,500 U.S. entry fee.
Black & Blue Tournament
A few days before the Black & Blue Tournament many fishermen enjoy fishing for fun. The larger scale Black & Blue Tournament is also known as Big Bisbee’s Tournament, and follows the “Little Bisbee’s” and will be held in Cabo San Lucas in October.
