If you are thinking of booking a vacation at the Villa del Palmar Islands of Loreto Resort you’re no doubt wondering if there are any places of interest nearby… well, you’re in luck; the Islands of Loreto Resort overlooks Danzante Island and Danzante Bay. These two sites are part of the unbelievably beautiful and idyllic Loreto Bay National Park. This 2065 square kilometre marine wildlife reserve is one of the most wonderful places in the Gulf of California, and each year thousands of people leave with priceless memories to cherish.

Loreto Bay National Park

The Loreto Bay National Park was created by presidential decree in 1996 and is home to over 800 marine wildlife species, including endangered and at risk animals, as well as some of the world’s most unique and delicate ecosystems. The secluded and tranquil nature of this part of Mexico is what has protected it so far, and Loreto Bay National Park is now listed as a World Heritage Site by the United Nations.

The park spans from Isla Coronados to Isla Catalana, and has some of the best waters in which to swim, snorkel, dive, kayak, and paddle board in all of Mexico. This is why so many people return to the Islands of Loreto Villa del Palmar resort year after year; it makes the perfect staging point from which to explore the national park! You can see large swathes of the Loreto Bay National Park whilst still within sight of the resort, and plenty of tours leave from the resort and surrounding areas.

Villa del Palmar Islands of Loreto is tranquil, idyllic, and secluded.
